FAQs

Do you have Tap Dance Classes available for toddlers, and do parents have the option to stay in the room with their child during the lesson?

Tap Dance classes for toddlers are available for kids as young as 1½ years old. In these beginner classes, parents of little ones (ages 1½ to 3) can either stay right in the room with their child or watch through an adjoining window. For children ages 3 and up, parents can observe from a nearby room. This helps make sure even the youngest dancers feel comfortable and supported while learning.

Do you offer tap dance classes in 10-week sessions, and what are the registration and recital fees?

Tap dance classes are available in 10 to 16-week sessions. The registration fee is $45 per year. Recital fees usually range from $100 to $200, which covers the cost of two costumes and theatre rental for the performance. Tickets to recitals are sold separately and usually cost about $35 each.

Do your tap dance classes run in 10-week sessions, and can my child try a free trial class before we commit?

Tap dance classes are offered in sessions ranging from 10 to 16 weeks; however, when students join we prorate based on the week we are at currently. New students can sign up for a trial class to see if it’s a good fit before making any commitments. This way, your child can experience the class firsthand and you’ll have a chance to ask any questions before signing up for the whole session.

How are your tap dance classes structured for children and what do kids typically learn in them?

Tap dance classes for kids are grouped by age and ability to make sure everyone feels comfortable and learns at the right pace. For younger children, parents can stay in the room or watch nearby, so kids always feel supported. Each session is about 45 minutes long and runs over a 10 to 16-week set of classes. Lessons start with basic tap steps and rhythms, then move on to simple routines, often set to fun music like princess or barbie themes. Kids gradually work on technique, coordination, and timing. The goal is for students to enjoy moving, build confidence, and get better at tap in an easy, step-by-step way.
